Welcome Problem Solver
Where kind, curious and ambitous problems solvers gather to find a better way to solve problems that matter.
Welcome to the home of the things I wish I’d known sooner.
It’s a colourful and varied collection, but it all points towards avoiding the same quiet tragedy: living half a life.
Half-felt, half-loved, half-awake. Half-dared, half-spoken, half-tasted. Half-seen, half-heard, half-laughed. And yet fully dictated by the status quo of what you’re “supposed” to do.
I hate doing what I’m “supposed” to do. It feels like being locked up.
We all have locks. Expectations, habits, obligations, and paths chosen for us. What surprises me is how few people decide to do something about them.
That’s what I mean when I talk about finding a better way: unlocking what weighs us down and discovering what actually lifts us up.
Questioning the default. Carving out a path that’s ours to walk, even when it’s less obvious or more demanding. I don’t have all the answers. Much of what I share is thinking out loud, discovered through friction rather than theory. By trying things, paying attention, adjusting, then trying again.
If that scratches an itch for you, have a browse and come along.
I’d love the company.

About the author
Jamie grew up in a South London suburb with his mum, dad, and sister. He went to an ordinary school with some extraordinary teachers who didn’t laugh when he said he wanted to be the first student from the school to study at the University of Oxford.
With lots of grit, basmati rice, and a pinch of luck, Jamie studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Magdalen College, Oxford. While studying, he created an award-winning YouTube channel to help other students realise their academic goals despite whatever hand life may have dealt them.
Since then, Jamie’s work has taken him through education, technology, and startups, including time in Silicon Valley and roles at companies like Google and Airbnb. Amid the work and change, a few questions have followed him: how do we live a life that’s true to ourselves? How do we use our gifts wisely? How do we face challenge, loss, and uncertainty without giving up?
Jamoe is where these questions now live. It’s where Jamie collects stories, notes, frameworks, and reflections shaped by real attempts at living, learning, and paying attention. It’s a place to think alongside him, explore ideas, and consider what it means to live fully and intentionally.
Outside England, Jamie has called Tokyo and San Francisco home before returning to his second-favourite city: London. In the wild, he can be seen perusing bookshops, taking photographs, talking to strangers, or staring into space trying to think of what to write. Come sundown, Jamie is likely to be performing improv comedy or sleeping.
Jamie curated this site with care and affection. He hopes you enjoy reading it as much as he enjoys writing it.
